Spanish & the different accents

As Lamarz said, spanish from Andaluz is indeed very beasutiful and easy to understand (I guess) for foreign people. I would disagree in that the rest of Spain is a good place to learn. They speak very fast with a lot of slang and they use that old fashioned style so characteristic of Spain (but perhaps you learned it that way, so ok). Mexico is a good place to learn, I think, beacuse their pronunciation is pretty good. They do use a LOT of slang though. Argentinian spanish could even qualify as a different language. I would avoid it. I am from Chile and that is another bad place to learn. We speak very fast, with awful pronunciation and lots of slang. If I had to choose, I think people from Perú, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia and Venezuela speak the easiest to understand spanish. It varies a lot according to cultural background, naturally, but in general they speak slower with good pronunciation, at least in my (little) experience. Cheers!
