I am Mexican and have been studying in Spain for about three years. The main differentiation between both of us are the following:
Speed. Spaniards tend to speak regardless of their region much faster than Mexicans.
S, Z and C. These letters change everything. For Mexicans these are all pronounced the same; Spaniads do make an emphasis on pronouncing them differently.
Voseo. You will find that in Spain. It is the form of making a clear distinction between formal and informal. A form that is understood in Mexico but never used. Ask your teacher the difference of "ustedes" and "vosotros" - he will explain it better than me.
Personally, these are just the most notorious, but linguistic differences and expressions are numerous and vast. See all items with this value
