For the most part, we can understand each other perfectly (I’m Argentinian).
There are words or phrases that are typically Chilean and until you learn them, you will be confused. The same thing that happens when an American speaks with a person from England or Australia.
The biggest challenge is the speed. Chileans speak incredibly fast.
