- It's all a matter of what you are used to. I had a prof from Colombia and several Mexican students all tell me they--native speakers--have a hard time with Caribbean Spanish. Too fast, too many letters dropped--Ss and Ds just completely abandoned. It made me feel better about being at sea watching news reports from Miami.
