Spanish learners which Spanish accents are the hardest understand? As a Spanish speaker I've always wondered which accents of Spanish are the hardest to understand for people learn Spanish. I speak Spanish from the Dominican Republic and I've heard it's one of the hardest ones along with the Cuban accent. In my eyes Chileans are the ones who have the hardest accent, to understand, even as a native speaker I can't understand them (just like 20%) when they speak fast or just when they talk to each other with slangs and things like that.
